Secaira Family

This family is absolutely beautiful. I feel like these pictures belong in a magazine somewhere. Grandma came for a visit and so we were able to get some shots with her as well. Hope you enjoy your photos Maritza, thanks for letting me take pictures of your family :).

Ritzert Kids

I spent a little more time with the Ritzert kids the other night. We tried their individual shots in at the big family session, but didn't manage to get everyone's picture before the kids were done :). We went to the park and had fun playing and getting some fun pictures!!

The Rogers

I was so excited that Dawn and Brandon came down from Des Monies to get their pictures taken. This time we went to Central College and found it to have a lot of potential. I took sooo many pictures! Poor Brandon and Cordell thought I would never be done. While we were taking pictures, Ty cooked everyone dinner and we had a chance to catch up. I've missed these guys!! Hope you enjoy the pictures Dawn :) It was great seeing you again.

Nelson Family

One thing I am not used to doing is photographing older children! This photo session was definitely different for me. The children smiled when I was about to take their picture. No one cried. No one ran off. The parent's didn't get stressed out. I have to admit that not having the "craziness" was a bit strange for me. I didn't have to take 20 pictures of each pose to ensure everyone was looking at the camera, they just did it! All of the kids were so respectful and well behaved. I know this wasn't their idea of a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, but they went along with all of my crazy ideas and even came up with a few of their own! I did learn a lot from this session about lighting and posing. I think most people want that relaxed candid shot, but it is hard to get! Thank you Nelson family for taking a risk on me!

Jorgensen Family

One of my fellow blogger friends, recently asked me to take pictures of her children. It was crazy and fun. I loved that any idea I had, Sherri just went right along with it. Some of my ideas worked....and some didn't :). The kids were troopers though! I don't think they thought I would ever be done taking their picture. I even brought along my kids (we met on a Thursday morning). So in all, we had eight little ones running around!!

A Challenge

Amanda called and asked me to photograph her family recently. Her father has been ill and she wanted a family photo before he had a kidney transplant. So we met up at a park, and took some pictures! I must admit, when I saw how beautifully they all were and dressed, I got a little nervous. Dressing up for me to take your pictures? The eight little kids were wonderful and what a fun, laid back family this is! Thanks for trusting in me to take your pictures, I had lots of fun!

A First

Sweet little Juliana was my first newborn to photograph (other than my own!). I'm so thankful her parents are laid back. They let me do pretty much anything I wanted with her :). I think she's pretty sweet don't you?

First Post

Just testing this out to see if it works!
